Upstate Talent Forum
Effective Date: 05/22/2026
By registering for or attending the Upstate Talent Forum (the “Event”), hosted by the University of South Carolina Upstate (“Organizer”), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Registration and Payment
All registrations must be completed through the official Upstate Talent Forum website. Payment is required at the time of registration to secure attendance.
Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
2. Refunds and Transfers
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another individual by submitting a written request to BF22@USCUPSTATE.EDU no later than 09/30/2026.
In limited circumstances, the Organizer may, at its sole discretion, offer a credit toward a future event.
No-shows or partial attendance do not qualify for refunds or credits.
3. Event Modifications
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the Event program, speakers, schedule, format, or venue at any time without prior notice.
Such modifications do not constitute grounds for a refund.
4. Event Cancellation and Force Majeure
If the Event must be postponed, relocated, or canceled due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Organizer, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, government restrictions, labor disruptions, safety or security concerns, or other force majeure events, the Organizer may, at its discretion:
- Provide a full refund of the registration fee,
- Offer a credit toward a future event, or
- Transfer registration to a future event.
The Organizer is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by attendees, including but not limited to travel, lodging, meals, or other related costs.
5. Attendee Conduct
The Upstate Talent Forum is a professional event designed for leaders across business, education, and government.
All attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner. Harassment, discrimination, abusive conduct, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
The Organizer reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe, without refund.
Attendance and participation may also be subject to applicable University of South Carolina Upstate and University of South Carolina System policies and procedures.
6. Health and Safety
Attendees agree to comply with all applicable health, safety, and security procedures established by the Organizer or venue, including screening procedures or other event-entry requirements that may be implemented at the time of the Event.
Failure to comply with such requirements may result in denial of entry or removal from the Event without refund.
7. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability
By attending the Event, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the University of South Carolina Upstate and the Upstate Talent Forum organizers are not liable for any personal injury, illness, property damage, loss, delay, or expense arising from or related to attendance at the Event.
The Organizer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of business opportunities or profits.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of the Organizer arising out of or related to the Event shall not exceed the total registration fees paid by the attendee.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
8. Speakers and Third-Party Content
Views and opinions expressed by Event speakers, presenters, sponsors, or attendees are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of the University of South Carolina Upstate or the Organizer.
The Organizer is not responsible for reliance on information, advice, or opinions shared during the Event.
9. Photography and Media
By attending the Event, you acknowledge that photographs, video, and audio recordings may be taken during the Event.
You grant permission for your likeness, image, voice, and comments to be used by the Organizer and the University of South Carolina Upstate in promotional materials, publications, websites, social media, and other communications related to the Event, without compensation.
10. Privacy Policy
The Upstate Talent Forum, hosted by the University of South Carolina Upstate, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
Information We Collect
We may collect personal information provided during registration, including your name, email address, phone number, organization, and job title.
Payment information is processed securely through third-party providers and is not stored by the Organizer.
We may also collect limited website usage data through cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process event registrations and payments
- Communicate important event updates
- Share information about the Upstate Talent Forum and related initiatives
- Improve website functionality and event experience
- Measure and improve marketing and outreach efforts
By registering for the Event, you consent to receiving communications related to the Event and related initiatives. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
Information Sharing
We do not sell personal information.

By completing your registration or attending the Event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
